Fall Festival returns to Lake Loramie

FORT LORAMIE — After a pandemic-related absence, the Fall Festival at Lake Loramie State Park is back.

The theme of the 40th festival is “From Horsepower to Tractor Power” and will be held Sept. 16-18, 2022, at the park. Hours for the festival begin at 4 p.m. on Sept. 16 with a flag raising ceremony. On Sept. 17-18, the festival begins at 8 a.m. with the flag raising ceremony planned for noon each day. Local Boy Scouts will do the flag raising ceremony.

New to the festival is the Barhorst Family Belgium horses. The event will feature antique power show, saws, sawmill, tractors, slow race, barrel push and gas engines. There will also be arts and crafts, live entertainment, mountain man encampment, kids games, food and camping.

According to Park Manager Jason Whitman, the campground is already full for the weekend. There will be overflow camping at the beach starting Monday, Sept. 12. There will be no doubling up in the campground this year.

The event is open to the public. Admission is free.
