SIDNEY — Samaritan Works Board of Directors has recently appointed Tricia Alloway as the new executive director.

Alloway has 30 years of experience in social services, including the past 17 in mental health/addiction from her position as recovery coordinator at SafeHaven Inc. Alloway has served on the Samaritan Works Board for two terms, most recently as the chairman of the board.

Samaritan Works is a faith-based non-profit which assists those choosing to begin their journey of sober living. Samaritan Works offers people in recovery a safe, compassionate, faith-filled community. The program works with those living inside the sober living homes and those who are not through groups, referrals, life skills classes, and support to assist those struggling with addiction in their recovery.

“I am a firm believer that with faith in a higher power, the right support, and a compassionate, loving environment where people can recover. Recovery is possible if anyone comes to us with the desire and is willing to do the work,” Alloway said.

Jerimiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Alloway is excited to begin this new endeavor as executive director and looks forward to working with other partner agencies in the community, the courts, and law enforcement; and is committed to the mission of Samaritan Works.

Samaritan Works is a partner agency of the Shelby County United Way. For information on programing, sober living homes, or to make a donation, call 937-638-4545 or email Alloway at [email protected] or website SamaritanWorks.org.
