SIDNEY — The Sidney City Planning Commission endorsed a replat request to create a new lot for the development of a new medical office during Tuesday’s meeting.

The commission recommended that Sidney City Council approve a replat of nine parcels to create one new lot, located north of Michigan Street, east Third Avenue and south of Forest Street in the community business district.

Community Services Director Barbara Dulworth said the property includes vacated alley rights of way, both east-west and north-south. Easements on those vacated alleys will remain, along with sanitary sewer, highway, and telephone easements to the south and east lot lines.

The request of Choice One Engineering, on behalf of Peter and Gail Frantz, for the replat of one lot to create two new lots was tabled at until the March meeting. The two new lots proposed are located at the southern terminus of University Drive and west of Doorley Road in the single family and multi-family residential districts. The request was put on hold in order to clarify requirements for the University Drive right of way.
