MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — U.S. Bank has announced online appointment scheduling, a service that allows users to make appointments when it’s most convenient for them through online banking, the U.S. Bank mobile app or by visiting www.usbank.com/book.

Online appointment-scheduling was born out of the U.S. Bank Dynamic Dozen, an annual reverse mentoring program in which the bank brings together a group of millennial employees to help the company better serve the next generation of customers and employees.

“We are continuously looking for ways to make banking simple and convenient for our customers,” said John Elmore, U.S. Bank community banking and branch delivery vice chairmain.

Customers make the appointments online by listing their banking need and choosing convenient appointment dates, times and branch locations. They are connected to local bankers who are notified of the upcoming appointments.

“The ability to schedule online appointments demonstrates U.S. Bank’s commitment to serve customers when, where and how they desire,” said Dan Hoke, U.S. Bank community banking and branch delivery strategy manager. “We are providing customers with another option for fulfilling their banking needs in a way that fits into their daily lives.”

The announcement of the capability is the latest in a series of technology-based innovations aimed at making the customer experience more simple and efficient. Those offerings include voice bankin; the person-to-person payment service, Zelle; an online tool to receive quick car loan approvals via AutoGravity and the U.S. Bank loan portal for mortgage customers.
