SIDNEY — A total of 25,493 job openings were posted online from Oct. 14, 2015, through Nov. 13, 2015, for Auglaize, Champaign, Clark, Clinton, Darke, Fayette, Greene, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Preble and Shelby counties, according to data from The Conference Board.

This was an increase of 2,431 ads from the previous reporting period. Compared to the same time period a year ago, this reflects an increase of 6,131 ads.

Several area companies are on the list of top employers with the most area job ads during this period of time; Like Emerson, which came in sixth with 186 job postings, and Crown Equipment Corporation, which came in 11th with 125 job postings.

The top occupations with the most area job ads are “heavy and tractor-trailer truck drivers” and the second is “registered nurses”.

A greater percentage of the jobs had a salary between $30,000 and $49,000. A greater percentage of the jobs required a GED or high school.
