Firm to host drop-off drive

SIDNEY — Brokers Real Estate Inc., 302 W. Russell Road, will host a drop-off drive in its parking lot, July 22 from 9 to 5 p.m. to benefit the Salvation Army, the Alpha Community Center and the Sidney First United Methodist Church Youth Group.

The Salvation Army will have a 22-foot truck to collect gently used clothing, furniture and household items. Donated goods will be sold through the Salvation Army Family Stores and proceeds will be used to fund the Army’s Adult Rehabilitation Centers. Items donated are tax-deductible.

The Alpha Community Center will have a van there to collect canned and boxed food, personal hygiene products, baby supplies and cleaning supplies. The Alpha Community Center provides assistance to at-risk adults, families and children through served meals, an emergency food pantry, children’s programming and rent/utility assistance.

The Sidney First United Methodist Church Youth Group will offer food for a donation. The donations will be applied to their scholarship program that is utilized by the students who need financial assistance for their faith building, service opportunities. These opportunities include a Tijuana Christian mission trip and Tar Hollow Christian Adventure Camp.
