NEX opens in Bellefontaine

BELLEFONTAINE — NEX Transport Inc. has opened at a new location, 1400 W. Sandusky Ave., Bellefontaine.

The new location will provide more usable square footage for the company, while still maintaining their quality of service and competitive pricing.

NEX provides warehouse operations to kitting and sequencing, component deliveries, small sub assembly, and their products are shipped to 13 different countries.

The company was established in 1989 in East Liberty. It started with nine associates who handled parts for Honda directly from Japan in a 100,000-square-foot warehouse. Now, in 2017, NEX Transport employs 490 associates, 125 contractors, and uses a 666,000-square-foot facility. It is able to manage 4 million pieces per month for 30 customers with 99 percent accuracy.

NEX is highly involved in the area, serving organizations, including the Logan County Fair, the United Way, Logan County Children’s Services and Adriel Schools.

The foundation of the company is focused on three pillars: customer happiness, associate happiness and community contribution. It has focused on providing great benefits for its associates, which included a wage increase in 2016, and a healthy, productive team atmosphere in which to work.
