MINSTER — Minster Dental Care Inc. broke ground Friday for a 4,800-square foot addition, which will expand its practice at 4215 state Route 66, Minster.
The addition will make way for more pediatric, orthodontic and hygiene services. Plans call for an additional six hygiene/orthodontic chairs, three pediatric operative rooms, Cone Beam CT services, a children’s theater and gaming area, and a consultation room. Completion of the project is projected to be early fall.
Minster Dental Care was founded in 1976 by Dr. James Overman. Over the past 40 years, the practice has grown to include current owners Dr. Jim Meiring, Dr. Shawn Sharp and Dr. Philip Slonkosky, as well as associates Dr. Tracy Mayers and Dr. Heather Woehrmyer.
“This is a very busy practice,” said Practice Administrator Julie Pleiman. “We will be adding team members: patient care representatives, a dental hygienist and an expanded function dental auxiliary.” Additional services in orthodontia and pediatrict dentistry are planned.
The practice currently employees 20 associates.
