Mutual Federal opens new banking location

SIDNEY — It’s no secret that slow and steady no longer wins the race. Yet, for banks, the need for speed is becoming more important than ever before.

Because of this, Mutual Federal embarked on a new philosophy of banking and broke ground in the fall of 2015 for a brand new brick and mortar banking location on the west side of Sidney. The state of the art building located on the corner of Michigan Avenue and Stolle Drive opened for business on June 10, 2016.

The brand new facility portrays the “pod” concept moving away from the traditional shackling of the “behind the counter” concept. The pod concept is a customer service tool and is a hands-on approach to banking. Banks incorporate digital capabilities and recognize the need to continually innovate the customer experience. Therefore, Mutual Federal chose to make a change in our business model to incorporate new and emerging technology in ways that customers will find favorable, and adapt to a superb customer service oriented experience across the entire organization.

“The customers have really embraced the new design with the personal customer service without the teller line barrier and have adapted to it better than expected” said Senior Vice President of Retail Jackie Davis. “The office has been well received and we are anticipating continued growth.”

Her report continues:

Mutual Federal continues to provide top notch customer service at our retail branch in the Sidney Kroger store. The office is a full service branch. The downtown office has been converted to a drive thru only facility with an operations center in the building and continues their tradition of accommodating customers and their needs through the fast and efficient drive thru.

In 2015, Mutual Federal increased its footprint and opened a loan production office in Columbus, Ohio. The amount of industry and business growth in this market has been overwhelming in a very positive way. The office focus is commercial loan opportunities and it has turned out to be a major reason for the banks growth in the loan portfolio in 2016.

Mutual Federal has also begun to offer fixed rate mortgage products along with top notch consumer and business accounts and products. As the world shifts to the digital market, Mutual Federal has been able to stay with the trends while offering remote deposit capture, electronic statements, text banking, online and mobile banking and has seen a significant increase in the number of consumers using these products.

Mutual Federal strives to remain your local community bank with exceptional customer service tools and local decision making. It has been our pleasure to serve this community for the past 95 years and we will continue to be your bank of choice!
