TROY — WACO Learning Center, 1865 S. County Road 25A, Troy, has announced a new aeronautical program designed by NASA for early learners.

Fun with Flight is a collection of six science/technology/engineering/math (STEM) learning modules based on children’s books. Each module focuses on a single children’s book, followed by a STEM thematic lesson. Hands-on activities will engage children as they make discoveries about gliders in nature (form and function), balloons (sinking and floating), parachutes (fluid thickness and drag), kites (surface area and lift), helicopters and airplanes (force and thrust), and world flyers (geography and global trade).

These six lessons will take place from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., March 8, 10, 15, 17, 21, and 24. A $35 materials fee will cover all six modules. Parents can register children 4-6 by calling 937-335-9226.
