RUSSIA — Russia High School Class of 2019 will receive their diplomas during a graduation ceremony planned for Sunday, May 26, 2019, at 1:30 p.m. in the Clair C. Naveau Gym.
The baccalaureate ceremony was held Sunday, May 19, at St. Remy Church, 11 a.m.
Kennedie Goubeaux, class president, will welcome family, friends and staff membeers to the graduation where 41 seniors will receive their diplomas.
There are nine valedictorians for the Class of 2019. They are Shea Borchers, daughter of Doug and Beth Borchers; Augustine Cordonnier, son of Kim Cordonnier and Matt Cordonnier; Jenna Cordonnier, daughter of Rob and Lori Cordonnier; Anna Fiessinger, daughter of Craig and Stacy Fiessinger; Samantha Gaerke, daughter of Jason and Judie Gaerke; Kennedie Goubeaux, daughter of Wesley and Chandra Goubeaux; Lee Magoto, son of Dan and Diane Magoto; Claire Meyer, daughter of Mike amd Carla Meyer; and Hannah Vallandingham, daughter of Josh and Lora Vallandingham.
The class salutatorian is Kaylee Hiatt, daughter of Matt and Denise Hiatt.
The class colors are royal blue and gold. The class motto is “I wish there was a way to know you’re in “the good old days” before you’ve actually left them” by Andy Bernard. The class song is “Life Changes” by Thomas Rhett. The class flower is the cactus.
