Soccer memories last a lifetime

0

This photo represents my favorite memory while attending Sidney High School. This was taken moments after the men’s varsity soccer team won our first home tournament game after a double over time that extended into a penalty kick shootout.

We got to advance to the next round and continue our last season just a little longer. Our team grinded and prepared all season for this moment and it is one I will never forget. Being the senior captain I was privileged to lead these guys to learn and grow into great soccer players and outstanding teammates.

The picture shows the dedication and celebration of hard work finally paying off and how happy we were to win such an important game on home turf for all of our supporters.

The past four years have been amazing and I’m sad to say it went by way to quick but the memories and bonds I made will last a lifetime. This past year felt exactly like my soccer season. We work tirelessly just to have our season over and done with after loosing in the second round just like I’ve worked to the past 11 years of my life to finally make it to senior year, only to have it cut short by unfortunate circumstances. However they were the best moments and totally worth working for.

Thank you class of 2020 and stay strong!
