Henman joins Gold on BOE

SIDNEY — A newcomer has been elected to the Fairlawn Local Schools Board of Education.

Michael Henman, of Sidney, received the most votes — 452 — in Tuesday’s election. The results of the election will be certified Monday, Nov. 16.

Incumbent Robert “Bob” Gold, of Sidney, received 346 votes, returning him to office. Incumbent Matthew Caldwell, of Conover, received 293 votes. Only two seats were available at the election.

“I would like to take an opportunity to say thank you to everyone who voted for me during my run for the Fairlawn School Board,” said Henman. “I appreciate your confidence in my ability to do what is best for our children and our school district.”
