FRIDAY
-12:43 p.m.: theft. Deputies responded to the 4000 block of Children’s Home Road on the report of a theft. The report indicated someone took a small amount of cash from the home and some items from the refrigerator.
-10:09 a.m.: drugs. Deputies responded to Sidney High School on the report of possible drugs and paraphernalia.
-7:34 a.m.: K9 narcotics search. Deputies and Jackson Center Police and K9 unit performed a narcotics search at Sidney Middle School.

-8:12 a.m.: assault. Botkins Police responded to Botkins School on the report of an assault.
Accidents
Whitney Vanderhorst, 18, 888 W. Mason Road, was traveling northbound on County Road 25A on Wednesday at 3:03 p.m. when she attempted to turn westbound onto Mason R0ad. Vanderhorst was unable to maintain control of the vehicle during the turn, causing the vehicle to exit the roadway to the right and strike a Century Link utility pole.
• Kody Curtner, 16, 716 Grandview St., was traveling northwest on state Route 29 negotiating a curve at address 5580 on Wednesday at 5:14 p.m.. Curtner stated his wheels started turning to the right as he was going through the curve. The driver stated he turned left, causing his vehicle to start sliding. The vehicle slid off the right side of the road, struck a 911 sign, then the ditch, causing the vehicle to overturn. It then struck a small tree, coming to rest on its side.
The driver and passenger claimed no injuries. Both were checked on scene by Perry Port-Salem Rescue.
No one was cited in either accident.
Fire, rescue
FRIDAY
-2:06 p.m.: fire alarm. Houston Fire Department responded to a front entry door fire alarm at Houston High School.
-5:23 a.m.: medical. Anna Rescue responded to the 19000 block of Kentner Road in Dinsmore Township.
-1 a.m.: medical. Anna Rescue and Botkins Police responded to the 200 block of South Main Street.
THURSDAY
-10:51 p.m.: medical. Fort Loramie Rescue responded to the block of Water Street.
-6:25 p.m.: medical. Fort Loramie Rescue responded to the 4000 block of Cardo Road.
-4:51 p.m.: accident with injuries. Anna Rescue, Botkins Fire and deputies responded to the intersection of Sidney-Freyburg Road and Wells Road for an accident with injuries.
