WEDNESDAY

-7:30 a.m.: property-damage accident. Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries at McCartyville Road and state Route 29.

TUESDAY

-11:42 p.m.: property-damage accident. Deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident in the 160000 block of Wenger Road.

-1:32 p.m.: accident with injuries. Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident with injuries in the 1000 block of South Kuther Road. Sidney EMS was on scene.

-10:25 a.m.: theft. Deputies investigated a theft of some items from the side of a garage in the 2000 block of state Route 29.

-8:43 a.m.: property-damage accident. Deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 2000 block of Thompson-Schiff Road.

-7:59 a.m.: property-damage accident. Deputies responded to the intersection of Lochard Road and Sharp Road for a one-car accident.

MONDAY

-11:42 a.m.: property-damage accident. A car hit a garage at 2992 Miller Road. Russia Fire, Houston Rescue and a deputy responded.

-7:15 p.m.: shooting. Jackson Center Police investigated shooting west of South Main Street in town.

MONDAY

-6:12 a.m.: property-damage accident. A semi-trailer hit a pole in the Circle K/Subway parking lot in Botkins. Botkins police responded.

Accident

Meghan E. Mowen, 23, 15146 County Road 25A, Anna, was cited with failure to yield after an accident Thursday at 4:51 p.m.

Mowen was northbound on Sidney-Freyburg Road and stopped at Wells Road. She then continued into the intersection to turn left onto Wells and collided with a pickup truck that was westbound on Wells. The driver of the truck was Levi Zelaski, 17, 312 Onyx Drive, Anna. Mowen had possible injuries, but did not require emergency treatment.

• The Shelby County Sheriffs Office is investigating a one vehicle accident that occurred on state Route 47, just east of Port Jefferson. The investigation shows that Timothy S. Bowman, 58, of Maplewood, was driving a 2001 Ford FI 50 eastbound on state Route 47.

He failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. Bowman’s vehicle went off the right side of the road and struck a road sign. Bowman’s vehicle then struck and drove over the top of a guard rail. The vehicle traveled down into a ravine striking numerous trees. The truck came to rest on its side.

Bowman was trapped in his vehicle for over one hour. He was freed by the Jaws of Life. Bowman was then taken by Careflight helicopter to Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.

Port Jefferson Fire, Sidney Fire, and Port Jefferson Rescue responded to the scene. The accident remains under investigation. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the accident,

Fire, rescue

WEDNESDAY

-2:27 p.m.: fire. Russia, Houston, and Lockington Fire, along with Houston Rescue, responded to a structure fire in the 700 block of Stillwater Road. Early reports said there were flames coming out of the roof and everyone was out of the house.

-10:37 a.m.: medical. Anna Rescue repsonded to the 700 block of East Mason Road.

-8:07 a.m.: medical. Houston Rescue responded to the 6000 block of Stoker Road.

-3:01 a.m.: crash with injuries. Perry-Port-Salem Rescue, Port Jefferson Fire, Sidney Fire and sheriff’s deputies responded to the 180000 block of state Route 47.

TUESDAY

-8:51 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue and Van Buren Fire responded to the 14000 block of state Route 29.

-8:13 p.m.: medical. Fort Loramie Fire responded to a truck fire in the 12000 block of state Route 362.

-12:56 p.m.: medical. Houston Rescue responded to the 3500 block of state Route 66.

-11:18 a.m.: medical. Anna Rescue and Botkins Police responded to Agrana Fruits.

-9:47 a.m.: medical. Anna Rescue and Jackson Center Police responded to Airstream.

MONDAY

-5:57 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue responded to the 200 block of Lacey Avenue.

-1:45 p.m.: medical. Fort Loramie Rescue was called to the 7000 block of Hoying Road.

-11:49 a.m.: medical. Anna Rescue was called to Honda, 12500 Meranda Road.

SUNDAY

-3:57 a.m.: fire. Botkins Fire responded to a fire at 13663 Short Road in Aulgaize County.
