The Sidney-Shelby County YMCA gymnastics team traveled to the Kettering YMCA to compete against seven other YMCA teams in the region recently.

The local team captured three first-place team awards, one second and one third.

Six gymnasts brought home first-place all-around awards, including Mackenzie Wells in level 9, Lexi Wells in level 8, Kaylee Freund in level 5, Morgan Shepherd and Madelyn Bockrath in level 4 and Addison Albers in level 3.

The team will next travel to Lebanon on Feb. 13 for its next meet.
