SIDNEY — The Sidney Noon Kiwanis Club has named Deion Booher its March 2016 Teen of the Month.

Booher is a senior at Houston High School and ranks first in his class, with a grade point average of 4.0.

He is the son of Scott and Gayette Booher. He has two sisters, Monique, 20, and Mariah, 12.

His academic activities, honors and awards include National Honor Society, Academia and Book Club. He has been on high honor roll and is valedictorian of his class.

Among his extra-curricular and community activities, Booher has performed in the school musicals, is a four-year letterman in golf, and is a member of Enviromental Club and 4-H. He participates in community services by helping with trash pickup, park cleanup, the soup kitchen, Thanksgiving deliveries and the Houston food stand.

Deion plans to pursue a degree in computer science.
