Darke County Parks announces staff

GREENVILLE — Darke County Parks has announced several new staff members.

Kathi McQueen was hired in January as the volunteer coordinator/naturalist. McQueen earned a master’s degree in zoology from Miami University and served as an AmeriCorps naturalist at Five Rivers MetroParks. In addition to coordinating volunteers, she teaches the monthly Park PALS program and manages animal care at Darke County Parks.

Naturalist Hannah Linebaugh, a native of Darke County, earned an English degree from Wright State University in 2014 and worked as a substitute teacher before joining the Darke County Parks team. In addition to naturalist duties, Linebaugh writes the park press releases and teaches the junior naturalist program.

Naturalist Mandy Martin has recently rejoined the Darke County Parks. A Penn State University graduate, she has worked for Ohio State Parks and Darke and Miami County Parks. She is the resident Monarch butterfly expert, heads the Naturalist in the Classroom program and teaches the monthly preschool Little Explorers and Seedlings programs.
