SIDNEY — Marsha Ball, of Piqua, has published a Bible study guide, “Our Costs.”

She will be one of several vendors at the 18th annual Home Party & Craft Vendor Open House in support of the Connection Point Church Relay for Life team.

More than 30 home vendors and crafters will sell their wares Saturday, April 9, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, 1510 Campbell Road. Admission is free.

“Our Costs” was written using examples from the author’s life, Ball said recently.

“I’ve been volunteering in ministry for 16 years,” she said. “A lot of people thnk they don’t have anything to offer, but everyone can minister for God. We’re all called. He calls all of us to go out and make disciples.”

A single mother who was the first in her family to graduate from college, she earned certificates in computers and became a state tested nursing assistant. Active in an evangelistic prison ministry, she was a cofounder of Freda Johnson Restoration Ministries and has served on its board since 2004. It took three years to write “Our Costs.”

“You can show Christ every day,” she said. “As soon as you say, ‘I’m a Christian,’ everyone is going to look at you. Every decision you make will show positive light or negative light on Christ. The book shows how to fail and how to do it right.”

Other vendors participating Saturday are Avon, Beauty by Dani Jewelry, doTerra, Gold Canyon Candles, It Works!, Jamberry Nails, Maplewood Farm’s Gourmet Dips, Mary Kay, N&B Crafts, Nelly Cuddles & Packs, Origami Owl, Paparazzi Jewelry, Pat’s Crochets, Perfectly Posh, Plexus Slim, Premier Designs, Puppets & PhotoBoards by Megan, Scentsy Wickless, Signature Homestyles, Sugar Pie Bakery, Tastefully Simple, Thirty One, Tupperware, Usborne Books, Watkins, Wreaths by Holly, Young Living Essential Oils and Younique.

Vendors will take orders and offer raffle baskets as well as cash-and-carry items. Door prizes will be awarded.

The Relay team will be serving a soup and sandwich lunch for a small fee. They will also be serving desserts, snacks and drinks. Doughnuts and coffee will be offered in the morning.

Ball’s book sells for $15. Copies will be available Saturday. They are also available online at Createspace.com and Amazon.com, and at Jay & Mary’s book store in Troy, Readmore Hallmark in Piqua and Gift of Joy in Lima.

Saturday’s sales will support the Relay for Life team. Other sales will support needy families in Piqua and Sidney. Ball is donating all profits made on sales this year.
