MONDAY

-5:45 p.m.: theft. James Hamiton, 34, 2400 Wapakoneta Ave., Lot 4, reported an unknown suspect entered his unlocked vehicle overnight and removed a mechanics seat, first aid kit, and two pocket knives.

-11:55 a.m.: identity theft. Gordon Buchler Jr., 45, 320 Lunar St., reported his identification was stolen.

-10:53 a.m.: theft. Christine Tamplin, 34, 107 N. Wilkinson Ave., reported a Fifth Third Bank card stolen.

-10:50 a.m.: contempt. Police arrested John Moorman, 39, 532 N. Miami Ave., on a contempt warrant out of Sidney Municipal Court.

-10:34 a.m.: theft. David Breitfeller, 32, 2400 Wapakoneta Ave., Lot 21, reported someone entered his vehicle overnight and took sunglasses, a GPS, an MP3 Player, and a car emergency kit.

-7:13 a.m.: theft. Tabitha Hughes, 45, 2433 N. Main Ave., reported an unknown suspect entered her vehicle overnight and removed a backpack, a calculator,books, notebooks, pencils, a wallet, cash and a driver’s license.

-6:01 a.m.: theft. Elizabeth Day, 22, 518 Addy Ave., reported someone entered her vehicle while it was parked in her driveway and took $500 from the console.

SUNDAY

-10:31 p.m.: criminal trespass. Scott Toler, 44, 628 Buckeye Ave., reported someone jumped his kennel fence and assaulted his dogs.

-1:22 a.m.: operating a vehicle under the influence. Police arrested Patrick Malveaux, 49, 2441 Alpine Court, for OVI.

SATURDAY

-1:31 p.m.: theft. Lisa Six, 25, 510 N. Main Ave., Apt. C, reported a Play Station 3 and games were missing from her residence.

-12:02 a.m.: criminal trespass. Police arrested Nathan Sharp, 41, 215 Franklin Ave., for criminal trespass at Lev’s Brewhouse on South Ohio Avenue.

FRIDAY

-8:24 p.m.: driving under OVI suspension. Police issued a citation to Rick Hartley, 24, 120 Piper St., for driving under an OVI suspension.

-8:56 a.m.: burglary. Patricia Schaffner, 48, 234 New St., reported someone entered her residence and took $8,350 in cash and coins.

THURSDAY

-5:10 p.m.: theft. CR Butts reported someone stole a carton of cigarettes.

Accidents

George Clawson, 79, 619 N. Ohio Ave., was cited for starting and backing after an accident on Saturday at 3:22 p.m.

Clawson was parked facing southeast on North Miami Avenue when he attempted to back out of the parking space striking a vehicle that was stopped in traffic for a red light.

The driver of the other vehicle was Mary Monnin, 90, 2009 Wells Drive.

• Kelia Ford, 21, 521 S. Highland Ave., was cited for assured clear distance ahead after an accident on Friday at 3:21 p.m.

Ford was southbound on Fourth Avenue when she struck the rear of a vehicle that was stopped on Fourth Avenue waiting to turn left onto Countryside Lane. Ford attempted to avoid the collision by turning right, causing her vehicle to go off the right side of the road.

The driver of the other vehicle was Joshua Ashcraft, 27, 760 Countryside Lane, Apt. 5. A passenger in Ford’s vehicle was transported by Sidney Medics to Wilson Health with injuries.

• Shelby Sheaks, 78, 115 W. Clay St., was cited for improper lane change after an accident on Friday at 3:18 p.m.

Sheaks made a lane change to go around an accident on Michigan Street when she entered the other lane of travel and struck a vehicle that was traveling parallel to her.

The driver of the other vehicle was Richard Kies, 80, 1011 State Route 274, Anna.

• Patricia Kaim, 26, 807 S. Main Ave., was cited for assured clear distance ahead after an accident on Friday at 3:09 p.m.

Kaim was traveling westbound on Michigan Street directly behind a vehicle, when she didn’t notice it slowing down and struck it in the rear.

The driver of the other vehicle was Buffy Wailing, 39, of Piqua.

Fire, rescue

TUESDAY

-4:23 to 8:45 a.m.: Medics responded to three calls.

MONDAY

-5:07 to 11:28 p.m.: Medics responded to six calls.

-1:30 p.m.: Crews responded to the 100 block of East Court Street on a general fire alarm. The alarm was due to testing.

1:45 a.m. to 1:03 p.m.: Medics responded to five calls.

SUNDAY

-11:29 a.m. to 10:54 p.m.: Medics responded to eight calls.
