Rockets whip New Bremen 13-2

ANNA — The Anna Rockets were blanked in the first inning, but scored 13 runs over the next three frames en route to a 13-2 victory over New Bremen in non-league high school baseball action Tuesday.

The Rockets go to 3-0-1 on the year and drop Bremen to 2-3.

Bremen got a run in the top of the first, but Anna came back with four in the second, three in the third and six in the fourth.

Anna had nine hits, including a two-run homer by Kain Luthman. Luke Albers had two hits including a triple, Colin Wuebker tripled, and Kyle Wuebker and Frilling both doubled.

Albers drove in four runs, Derek Coverstone scored three times, and Colin Wuebker scored three times and drove in three.

Lehman 11, Ridgemont 1

SIDNEY — The Lehman Cavaliers used a seven-run third inning to run-rule visiting Ridgemont 11-1 and go to 3-0 in high school baseball action Tuesday.

All three games have come in Northwest Central Conference play.

Brandon Simmons got his first varsity win for the Cavs, pitching the first four frames.

Lehman had 11 hits, and all of them were singles. Parker Riley had three hits, drove in two and scored twice, Dylan Arnold had two hits and scored twice, Brandon Barhorst scored twice and Tyler Lachey drove in two.

Vandalia 10, Sidney 0

VANDALIA — For the second night in a row, unbeaten Vandalia run-ruled the Sidney Yellow Jackets, winning Tuesday 10-0 to drop the Jackets to 2-5 on the year.

The Aviators scored a run in the bottom of the first, then scored six more in the second.

Despite being shut out, Sidney had eight hits in the game, two apiece by Austin McLain and Jacob Cooper.

Houston 3, Bethel 2

HOUSTON — The Houston Wildcats made their hits count in a 3-2 thriller over Bethel in non-league baseball action Tuesday at Houston.

The Wildcats upped their record on the year to 4-2.

Houston led 2-1 after an inning but Bethel tied it in the third. In the bottom of the fourth, the Wildcats got what proved to be the winning run when Zach Jolly and Andrew Miller singled ahead of a ground out by Tristan Freistuhler that scored the run.

Howie Ludwig and Jolly both had a hit and scored a run, and Kaleib Freistuhler drove in a run in the first on a suicide squeeze.

Riverside 16, Lima TC 0

DEGRAFF— Riverside scored 12 times in the second inning to run-rule Lima Temple Christian in Northwest Central Conference action Tuesday, 16-0.

Tyler Sanford and Connor Cotterman combined on a one-hitter for the Pirates.

Caleb Stevens and Landon Kelsey had three hits apiece for Riverside and Connor Cotterman added two.

Cotterman drove in four runs, Kelsey three and Stevens and Logan Stobbe two apiece.

Stevens had two doubles, and Stobbe, Kelsey and Cotterman one each.
