Anna hosts 4-teamtrack meet Tuesday

ANNA — Anna hosted a four-team track meet with Botkins, Lehman and Marion Local on Tuesday night, and the Anna boys and the Marion Local girls put up the most points.

In the boys meet, Anna had 109.5, Botkins 67, Marion Local 51.5 and Lehman 25.

For the Rockets, Logan Konst won the 100 in 11.78 and also won his specialty, the pole vault, clearing 13-feet, 6-inches. He won the state championship in the event last season. Teammate Lucas Huber was first in the 1600 and 3200, Joel Gaier won the 800, and Blake Stephens won the high jump and long jump.

Josh Miller of Botkins won both the shot put and discus, and teammate Micah Smock won the 110 and the 300 hurdles races. Cameron Flora won the 400 dash and Garrett Williams won the 200 dash.

GIRLS

Lehman’s Alanna O’Leary had an impressive day in the girls meet, winning the 100, 200 and 400 dashes for the Lady Cavaliers.

Grace Homan led Botkins, winning both the shot put and discus.

Teammate Chloe Flora won the 3200, Payton Amstutz was first in the 800, and Kayla Heuker won the 1600.

Anna got a win from Hannah Shoemaker in the pole vault.

For the Lady Flyers, Aubrey Thobe won the 100 and 300 hurdles and teammate Jessie Kramer won the long jump and high jump.

Covington quad

COVINGTON — Riverside competed in the Covington quad on Tuesday, with the boys placing third with 33 points and the girls fourth with 13 points.

For the boys, the top finisher was Ajay Stapleton, who was second in the 110 hurdles and third in the shot put.

Christopher Smith was second in the 1600, Ethan Williams second in the 3200, and Ollie Jacobs third in the 100.

For the girls, Ashley Plank placed second in the 300 hurdles and third in the 100 hurdles.
