SHELBY COUNTY — A SWAT team surrounded a house on Hoying Road near Wright-Puthoff Road at around 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Two detectives from the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office responded to the home Wednesday morning to question a man wanted in connection to several burglaries in and near Fort Loramie.

When detectives arrived, the suspect barricaded himself.

The Shelby County SWAT team responded to the scene and eventually pursuaded the man to exit out the house after several hours. He was then put under arrest.

No more informaiton, or the suspenct’s identity, was available by press time Tuesday.
