BOTKINS — The Anna Rockets remained the only unbeaten team in the County baseball standings with a 12-0 run-rule verdict over Botkins in action at Botkins Monday night.

The win put the Rockets at 3-0 in the league, and they are now 7-1-1 overall.

Anna scored six times in the second inning and then added five more in the fourth.

Kain Luthman was 2 for 4 with a double and three runs batted in, Aiden Endsley was 2 for 4 with two runs scored and two RBIs, Kyle Wuebker was 2 for 4 with two runs and two RBIs, Nathan Frilling doubled and tripled, scored twice and drove in four runs, and Zach White was 2 for 3.

Colin Wuebker had a double, Luke Albers scored twice and Mitchell Lindsey pitched a complete-game two-hitter with seven strikeouts.

For Botkins, Alex Jutte had a single and a double and Luke Bergman had a double.

JACKSON CENTER — Fort Loramie kept pace in the County standings with a 14-0 rout of Jackson Center in action Monday at Jackson.

The Redskins scored 10 times in the first two innings and added five in the fifth, but had just five hits in the game. JC pitchers walked 10 batters.

The Redskins got two hits from Daniel Berning, and doubles from Brad Pleiman, Aaron Plas and Connor Rose. Rose also drove in three runs.

Russia 23, Fairlawn 0

SIDNEY — Russia made it three run-rules in three County games Monday night with a 23-0 victory over winless Fairlawn.

The Raiders go to 5-5 overall and 2-1 in the league.

The Raiders led 9-0 after three innings, then exploded for 14 runs in the fourth. Jonah Counts led the onslaught, going 5 for 5 with three runs scored and five driven in.

Zach Sherman was 4 for 4 with four runs and five RBIs, Jared Goubeaux had three hits, scored twice and drove in two, and Drew Sherman, Dion Puthoff and Hunter Cohee all had two hits apiece. D. Sherman scored three times.

Cohee and Kevin Drees combined on a one-hitter for the Raiders.

Bradford 5, Houston 3

BRADFORD — Houston gave Bradford four outs in the bottom of the sixth and it proved costly as the Railroaders rallied for all five of their runs to come from behind and edge the Wildcats 5-3 in non-league action.

Houston, now 8-4, took a 3-0 lead into the bottom of the sixth and retired the first two hitters. But then came a walk and a single ahead of a strikeout on which the ball got away and the throw to first was wide, prolonging the inning. Three straight hits followed and the Railroaders scored five unearned runs.

For Houston, Dylan Hensley was 3 for 4 with a double and Kaleib Freistuhler was 2 for 4 with a double and two RBIs for Houston.

Minster 5, TC North 5

MINSTER — Minster gave up two runs in the sixth and two in the seventh, and fell behind Tri-County North 4-3 going to the last of the seventh. But the Wildcats struck for two runs to walk off with a 5-4 win in a non-league game Monday at Minster.

The win puts the Wildcats at 8-2 on the year.

Jon Niemeyer and Alex Lehmkuhl both singled to start the bottom of the seventh, and things went from bad to worse for the visitors when both runners moved up on a passed ball.

After an out, Aaron Ernst swung and missed for strike three, but the ball got loose. The catcher retrieved it but did not look Niemeyer back to third. He broke for home and scored, and when the first baseman’s relay to home went past the catcher, Lehmkuhl also scored to end the game.

Minster had six hits, two of them by Lehmkuhl.

Ernst pitched the first six innings for Minster and struck out 10.

Sidney 18, Trotwood 5

TROTWOOD — Sidney went on the road and notched its first Greater Western Ohio Conference North Division win, routing Trotwood 18-5 in action Monday on the road.

The Jackets are now 1-4 in the division and 4-9 overall, with Trotwood coming to Sidney today.

The Jackets led 4-1 after three innings before erupting for six in the fourth to put it away. It ended after six innings.

Four Sidney players had two hits apiece, including AJ Brussel, Austin Freisthler, Austin McLain and Damien Duff.

McLain scored three times and drove in two runs, Freisthler drove in three, and Duff drove in two. One of McLain’s hits was a double.

Lehman 5, ME 0

CASSTOWN — Lehman scored all of its runs in the first two innings and went on to blank Miami East 5-0 in non-league action Monday.

The Cavaliers go to 8-1 on the season and drop East to 1-8.

Lehman got four in the first and one in the second. Nate Bosway doubled twice and drove in two, Stephen Monnin had a double and drove in two and Jared Magoteaux had two singles.

Monnin pitched a five-hitter, with eight strikeouts and two walks.

Riverside 14, LTC 1

LIMA — The Riverside Pirates continued to cruise along in baseball action Monday, routing Lima Temple Christian on the road to run their record to 8-1 overall and 5-0 in the Northwest Central Conference.

The Pirates scored 12 times in the first two innings, including eight in the first.

Landon Kelsey had three hits for the Pirates, and Dakota Bollinger added two. Bollinger drove in three runs, Kelsey and Tyler Sanford drove in two, and Caleb Stevens scored four times.

Kelsey, Stevens and Bollinger all had doubles and Sanford belted a home run.
