LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – Marion Local High School band students from Maria Stein, Ohio entertained Walt Disney World Resort guests from across the nation and around the world with their performance on April 8 at Magic Kingdom.

Under the direction of band director Brad Spettel, the marching band put on a spectacular pre-parade show, marching past Cinderella Castle while playing songs and cadences.

During their three-day stay, the Marion Local students also immersed themselves in Disney movie magic during a Disney Performing Arts workshop called “You’re Instrumental,” rehearsing classic film scores at Epcot.

The 41 band and seven color guard students in grades 9-12 traveled over a thousand miles from Ohio to Florida to participate in the popular Disney Performing Arts program. This was the group’s fourth visit to Walt Disney World Resort.

Vocal, instrumental and dance ensembles from all around the world apply to perform each year as part of Disney Performing Arts at both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. Once selected, they are given the opportunity to perform at Disney amongst an international audience of theme park guests. Millions of performers have graced the stages of Disney Parks since the Disney Performing Arts program was launched more than 25 years ago.
