COLUMBUS — Ohio Secretary of State Jon Husted has announced 10,478 new entities filed to do business in Ohio during March 2016.

The previous record was achieved in March 2015 when 10,102 entities were formed.

“We continue to see record numbers of entrepreneurs open businesses in Ohio because we are providing simple and fast service at a lower price,” Husted said.

Business filings in the State of Ohio are continuing to increase and 2016 is on track to be another record-setting year. Nearly 3,000 more entities have filed to do business in Ohio in 2016 than at the same point in 2015. Between 2010 and 2015, Ohio saw a 21.8 percent increase in new business filings.
