Kaiser member of Technical Productions Crew, Kappa Kappa Psi

ASHLAND — Emily Kaiser, of New Bremen, is a member of Ashland University’s Technical Productions Crew.

Kaiser is majoring in creative writing. She is the daughter of James and Pamela Kaiser of New Bremen. Kaiser is a 2013 graduate of New Bremen Local School.

The Technical Productions Crew provides technical assistance to student organizations and departments for activities and events on campus. They have assisted the Campus Activities Board in numerous events including the Acoustic Cafes, Movie Nights, special guest hostings, and Springfest. Membership is by an application and interview process.

She is also a member of the Kappa Kappa Psi honor society at AU. The purpose of Kappa Kappa Psi is to enhance the Ashland University instrumental music program and to honor outstanding members. Kappa Kappa Psi’s activities include assisting the Music Department, organizing projects to benefit the band programs and participating in regional meetings and a district convention each year.

Elson admitted to a health professional school

DAYTON — University of Dayton student Drew Elson, of Minster, has been admitted to the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine for 2016.

Former Lake Campus student honored by Wright State University

CELINA — Thomas Rable, of Celina, was recently recognized at the 17th Annual College Outstanding Alumni Awards presentation held at the Wright State University Nutter Center. During the ceremony, each college recognizes former students who have gone on to make exceptional contributions to their professional fields while giving back to their communities.

After completing his first two years at the Lake Campus, Rable graduated from Wright State University in 1986 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in accounting and finance. Rable has been a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 1988 and is currently the Assistant Vice President of Financial Planning at Celina Aluminum Precision Technology Inc. (CAPT).

In 2008-2009 the Lake Campus went through a major renovation and construction project. During that time, Rable championed CAPT’s $250,000 gift towards the renovation of science labs on campus. Having state-of-the-art science labs has helped bring programs such as engineering, nursing and business to the Lake Campus.

Rable has also been actively engaged and supportive of the Lake Campus SkillsTrac Program, which enhances and certifies the skills and talents of area industry. He has also been active in his community of Celina.
