FORT LORAMIE — Fort Loramie will host both baseball and softball invitationals today, each beginning at 10 a.m.

The 24th annual baseball invitational will feature the Redskins along with Minster, Elida and Celina.

Celina and Minster will play at 10 a.m. today, followed by Fort Loramie taking on Elida at noon.

At 2 p.m., the two losers from the first round will play, and at 4 p.m., the two first-round winners will meet for the championship.

The softball invitational is in its fifth year and will bring in Versailles, Mechanicsburg and Tri-Village to join the host Lady Redskins.

In the first round games, Tri-Village and Versailles will play at 10 a.m., followed at noon by Fort Loramie and Mechanicsburg.

The two losing teams will then play at 2 p.m., and the two winners at 4 p.m. to decide the champion.

The baseball field is at the high school, and the softball field is behind the elementary school on Elm Street.

The top two teams in each tournament will receive team plaques, and there will also be individual trophies for the winning team.

In softball, an all-tournament team will be selected, with those girls receiving certificates.
