SIDNEY — Images of super spies and the number 007 will highlight the 2016 Lehman Catholic Prom to be held on Saturday, April 30, at the Shelby Oaks Golf Club. “James Bond” is the theme for the dance which will run from 8 to 11:30 p.m. The traditional crowning of prom royalty will take place at 8 p.m.
Prom queen candidates are Claudia Fatone, daughter of Andy and Amy Fatone, of Sidney; Janelle Gravunder, daughter of Bradly and Lisa Gravunder, of Piqua; Caroline Heitmeyer, daughter of Dan and Jill Heitmeyer, of Sidney; Linh Tu-Nguyen, an exchange student staying with Van Tu in Troy; Emily Reinhart, daughter of Keith and Anna Lisa Reinhart, of Sidney; and Ana Vazquez, daughter of Salvador and Claudia Vazquez, of Troy.
Vying for the title of prom king are Nate Bosway, son of Bill and Mary Bosway, of Sidney; Jerry Curtis, son of George and Ann Curtis, of Piqua; Stephen Monnin, son of Andy and Julie Monnin, of Piqua; Ian Smith, son of Doug and Juli Smith, of Piqua; Connor Thobe, son of Dean and Rebecca Thobe, of Sidney; and Adam Vanderhorst, son of Jerry and Angie Vanderhorst, of Sidney.
Junior princess candidates are Sidney Chapman, daughter of Lowell and Michelle Chapman, of Sidney; Katie Edwards, daughter of John and Heather Edwards, of Sidney; Kate Hemm, daughter of Jeff Hemm and Susan Hemm, of Piqua; Kaitrin O’Leary, daughter of David and Emily O’Leary, of Sidney; Liz Pax, daughter of Dennis and Kris Pax, of Piqua; and Theresa Schmiesing, daughter of Kevin and Anne Schmiesing, of Sidney.
Juniors up for the title of prom prince are Eli Baker, son of Cliff and Karen Baker, of Piqua; Jake Earhart, son of Jeff and Kelly Earhart, of Piqua; John-Henry Frantz, son of John and Julia Frantz, of Sidney; Ethan Neu, son of Justin and Emily Neu, of Sidney; Parker Riley, son of David and Jackie Riley, of Sidney; and Jacob Schmiesing, son of Greg and Christina Schmiesing, of Sidney.
The junior class plans the prom each year as a final farewell to the senior class. The junior class officers are Kate Hemm, president; Kara Gillman, vice president; Kaitrin O’Leary, secretary; and Eli Baker, treasurer. The class advisor is Mrs. Meghan McGlothin.
Junior class parents are organizing this year’s after-prom to be held at VanDermark Farm in Sidney from 11:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Activities, games, karaoke, zipline, putt-putt golf, refreshments and prizes are planned. All students must have a prom ticket to attend after-prom.
