TROY — After getting run-ruled by the Troy Trojans Monday night in Greater Western Ohio Conference North baseball action, the Sidney Yellow Jackets were on the verge of avenging that defeat Tuesday at Troy.

The Jackets took a 4-2 lead into the bottom of the seventh, but were unable to close it out, the Trojans scoring three times to pull out a 5-4 victory and saddle Sidney with its fifth consecutive loss.

The Jackets, 6-14, won’t be back on the field until Friday in a home doubleheader with Riverside.

Both teams plated two runs in the first, but the Jackets added single runs in the fifth and seventh to take a 4-2 lead. But it wasn’t enough.

Dillon King had two of Sidney’s five hits, and Damien Duff had a double.
