TUESDAY

-11:19 p.m.: warrant. Cody Hurst, 27, at large, was arrested on an active warrant.

-10:59 p.m.: criminal damaging. Northwood Village Apartments on Collins Avenue reported someone damaged a glass window of Apartment E.

-9:19 p.m.: assault. Melissa Gilmore, 18, 221 King Court, was arrested for the assault of Janessa Stewart, 30, 1108 Amherst Drive, Apt. D1, for the minor injuries of redness and bruising on arms.

-8:56 p.m.: breaking and entering. Mark Geise, 59, 212 Bon Air Drive, reported someone took a Stihl leaf blower, hedge trimmer, weed eater and a Troy Built power washer out of his unlocked shed.

-3:35 p.m.: theft. J & D Recycler’s on East Court Street reported theft of a wet/dry tile cutter and a tow strap.

-1:51 p.m.: criminal damaging. Sharhonda Drew, 29, 719 Arrowhead Drive, Apt. B, reported someone damaged her unlicensed, uninsured moped used on private property by cutting the wires and removing the muffler.

-7:22 a.m.: burglary. Donald Crawford, 41, 402 E. Court St., was arrested for burglary, possessing criminal tools and drugs after it was reported that he was attempting to get into the back door of residence 329 E. North St. He was also charged with receiving stolen property later while at the Shelby County Jail.

-3:51 a.m.: criminal damaging. Laura Moses, 32, 624 St. Marys Road, reported someone damaged the driver’s window and paint near the door of her vehicle by a BB gun.

MONDAY

-3:28 p.m.: theft. Arby’s on Michigan Street reported the theft of $159.75 from the business.

-6:21 a.m.: criminal damaging. Ronald Sample, 48, 113 N. Highland Ave., Apt 3A, reported someone broke the passenger’s side window of his vehicle overnight.

Accidents

Duane Amerine, 31, 1504 Grove St., was cited for failure to control after an accident on Tuesday at 4:26 p.m.

Amerine was traveling southbound on Wilson Avenue when he went left of center and struck the left, front, quarter panel of a vehicle that was parked in front of 424 Wilson Ave. because he said he wasn’t paying attention.

The owner of the other vehicle was Arliss Shelton, 413 Fourth Ave.

• Chelsea Blundell, 25, Pleasant Hill, was cited with traffic control device after an accident on Tuesday at 2:47 p.m.

Blundell was traveling westbound on Clay Street approaching South Ohio Avenue when she went through a red light and struck another vehicle traveling southbound on South Ohio Avenue at the intersection of Clay Street.

The driver of the other vehicle was Martha Hagen, 72, 312 W. Russell Road, Apt. C.

Fire, rescue

WEDNESDAY

-9:22 a.m.: gas leak. Firefighters were dispatched to Vandemark Road and CSX Railroad for the report of a gas leak.

-4:37 a.m.: fire. Crews were dispatched to Formed Fiber Technologies on Ferguson Court on the report of a fire in a machine. The fire was contained to the machine and was put out with extinguishers.

-12 a.m. to 12:54 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to six calls.

TUESDAY

-1 to 11:40 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to five calls.

-2:37 p.m.: assist. Crews were dispatched to the 2oo block of North West Avenue to assist the police department.

Firefighters were dispatched to Vandemark Road and CSX Railroad on the report of a gas leak at 9:22 a.m. on Wednesday. The road was closed between Fair Road and Amos Press while they investigated the incident.
