ANNA — Anna graduate Paige Richard announced recently that she has signed a letter-of-intent to play softball next spring for the University of Northwestern Ohio in Lima.

Richard was a four-year starter for the Anna Lady Rockets and was voted first-team All-County her sophomore, junior and senior seasons.

This past season, she hit .479 for the eighth-best in the area. She wound up with a career average of also .479.

She was second on the team in runs scored with 30, second in stolen bases with 14, second in doubles with seven, and led the team runs batted in with 28, and in triples with five.

The daughter of Mike and Christina Richard, she plans to major in medical assisting and health care administration.
