-2:39 a.m.: criminal damaging. The passenger’s side door of the vehicle belonging to Joshua Gillum, 36, 1319 Shroyer Place, was reported damaged at his residence.

MONDAY

-4:40 p.m.: theft. Dustin Brown, 34, 422 Riverside Drive, reported the theft of a Remington rifle and two magazines of ammunition from his residence between Aug. 1 to Oct. 31.

-10:55 a.m.: found property. An abandoned boys green Schwinn bike was found at 317 E. Bennett St. and was turned into the police department.

-9:53 a.m.: attempt. David Price, 30, 827 Arrowhead Drive, Apt. K, was arrested for attempt.

-8:33 a.m.: theft. Joseph Earls, 55, 2400 Wapakoneta Ave., Apt. 27, reported damage to his vehicle’s dash and the theft of two of its hub caps.

-7:58 a.m.: breaking and entering. Ferguson Construction reported the theft of several tools, battery and chargers from 2655 Campbell Road.

-8:24 a.m.: warrant. Brian Brown, 41, Jackson Center, was arrested on a warrant.

SUNDAY

-6:27 p.m.: vehicle trespass. Kati Starnes, 31, 815 S. Miami Ave., reported someone entered her husband’s vehicle overnight and stole a JVC CD player. It was later recovered.

-5:21 p.m.: theft. Athea Brown, 33, 1338 Tully Drive, reported the theft of her cellphone.

-3:59 p.m.: theft. Stacey Donaldson, 50, 740 N. Miami Ave., reported the theft of her purse containing a black wallet, $300, driver’s licence, U.S. Bank debit card and Social Security card from Save-A-Lot on West Michigan Street.

-3:58 p.m.: theft. Amanda Couchot, 34, 119 Dallas St., was issued a summons for theft after AutoZone on Michigan Street reported the theft of a car decal and pink valve caps, which were later recovered.

-2:25 p.m.: theft. Elizabeth Clark, 26, 713 Arrowhead Drive, reported the theft of a blood clot testing machine taken from her front porch.

-1:55 p.m.: theft. Brandon Dankworth, 23, 656 N. Ohio Ave., reported someone he knows entered his unlocked vehicle and took his Note 2 cellphone and a navy green Schwinn mountain bicycle from his driveway.

-11:49 a.m.: probation violation. Brittany LeMaster, 27, 701 Monroe St., was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

-4:46 a.m.: contempt. Shawna De La Fuente, 34, 730 Chestnut Ave., was arrested on an active warrant.

-3:53 a.m.: prohibitions. A 17-year-old male juvenile was arrested for prohibitions and disorderly conduct.

-10:45 a.m.: theft. Family Dollar on Wapakoneta Avenue reported someone attempted to take several items from the store.

SATURDAY

-11:24 p.m.: assault. Michael Ceyler II, 32, 821 Arrowhead Drive, Apt. B, was arrested for resisting arrest and a probation violation, and Michael Ceyler, 54, 821 Arrowhead Drive, Apt. B, was arrested for resisting arrest.

-4:58 p.m.: criminal damaging. Janet Accuntius, 58, 113 Freedom Court, reported the rear bumper of her vehicle was damaged.

-4:25 p.m.: criminal damaging. Jeffrey Wisler, 62, 1225 E. Hoewisher Road, reported damage to his nine-foot and three-foot inflatable Minion decorations.

-10:40 a.m.: contempt. Skylar Williamson, 23, and Rylee Miller, 18, both of 306 N. Miami Ave., Apt. B, were both arrested on an outstanding warrant and were charged with obstructing official business.

-4:04 a.m.: criminal damaging. A smashed pumpkin and damage to two port-a-potties in the 1000 block of Winter Ridge Drive was reported.

-1:44 a.m.: driving under the influence. Chase Wildermuth, 24, 2440 Wells Drive, was arrested for OVI.

FRIDAY

-4:42 p.m.: warrant. Cody Hurst, 27, at large, was arrested on a warrant out of Miami County.

-3:08 p.m.: criminal simulation. City Carry Out on North Ohio Avenue reported receiving a counterfeit $20 at the business.

-2:19 p.m.: theft. Buckeye Ford on Michigan Street reported the theft of a 2005 Dodge pick-up truck, valued at $22,750, that was taken from the car lot.

-2:14 p.m.: theft. Robin Laughlin, 62, 10040 Thompson Schiff Road, reported the theft of a St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital donation box containing $50 from Wiford Jewlers on West Poplar Street.

-8:42 a.m.: having weapons while under disability. Nicholas Wood, 37, 750 Broadway Ave., was arrested for weapons under disability and drug trafficking after a narcotics search was executed at his residence.

THURSDAY

-6:05 p.m.: driving under OVI suspension. James Drees, 33, 629 Fielding Road, Apt. A, was arrested for driving under an OVI suspension.

Crashes

Sheila Freisthler, 62, 1669 Fair Oaks Drive, was cited with improper lane change after a two-vehicle collision on Monday at 12:07 p.m.

Freisthler was traveling eastbound on state Route 47 when she changed lanes from the left lane to the right lane and struck the vehicle driven by Tammy Rigney, 57, of Anna. Freisthler told police she did not see Rigney’s vehicle.

• Scott McDaniel, 37, of New Bremen, was cited for assured clear distance ahead after a two-vehicle crash on Sunday at 1:10 p.m.

McDaniel was stopped at a traffic light on West Russell Road and rear-ended the vehicle driven by Darin Bennett, 52, 18976 State Route 47, that had slightly moved forward in front of him. McDaniel told police he thought that Bennett was going forward and so he accelerated and hit the vehicle from behind when he looked to his passenger seat momentarily.

• Mark Young, 48, 1311 Dartmouth St., was cited with failure to control after a crash on Saturday at 11:37 a.m.

Young was traveling northbound in the 800 block of Lynn Street when he failed to see the parked vehicle owned by Mary Harter, 824 Lynn Road, and side-swiped it as he passed by.

• Ayaka Machimura, 16, 664 Tabitha Court, was cited with right-of-way from private drive after a two-vehicle collision on Friday at 10:29 p.m.

Machimura was attempting to turn westbound from the private drive of 1310 Campbell Road when he pulled into the lane of travel of the another vehicle traveling eastbound on Campbell Road.

The driver of the other vehicle was Haylee Klikouits, 16, 320 Doering St.

• Ronald Farley, 58, 715 S. Miami Ave., was cited with right-of-way at alley following a two-vehicle crash on Friday at 8:55 a.m.

Farley was traveling eastbound in the alley to the rear and the side of the Sidney Post Office on North Ohio Avenue when he failed to stop for the intersecting alleys and struck another vehicle traveling northbound also in the alley behind the Sidney Post Office which had already entered the intersection.

The driver of the other vehicle was Kimberlee Hensley, 29, 121 W. Poplar St.

Fire, rescue

TUESDAY

-3:51 to 6:52 a.m.: medical. Medics responded to three calls.

MONDAY

-10:17 p.m.: fire. Crews responded to 485 Heather Way on the report of a possible structure fire. The fire was out upon arrival.

-3:38 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to an automobile crash. No incident was found.

-12:08 p.m.: fire. Crews responded to 2400 Industrial Drive on a false fire alarm.

-2:46 a.m. to 11:19 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to six calls.

SUNDAY

-11:58 a.m. to 11:58 p.m.: medical. Medics responded to seven calls. One was canceled en-route.
