To the editor:

As many of you know, Sidney City Schools will be asking voters to approve a 3.0 mill Permanent Improvement (PI) levy on the upcoming Nov. 8 ballot. If you are a homeowner, then you know very well the effort and expense it takes to maintain the condition of your house and property. It is no different for our educational facilities, but on a much larger scale. Students deserve the opportunity to learn in a safe and secure environment.

The PI levy will ensure our district can repair things such as roofs, flooring, classroom furniture, as well as striving for all students to achieve academic excellence with up to date textbooks and computers.

Please join me in voting on Nov. 8, and make the responsible decision for our schools. Strong schools build strong communities.
