To the editor:

How many times have you wished for more restaurants, stores, dreamt of a Target here in Sidney? … Now I can’t say those things will come true with a single vote, but I hope everyone understands when they support their community schools that they are taking a step in the right direction.

When a family has been relocated and choosing where to live, one of the first items to look at are the local schools, second the town, and then homes. If Sidney could retain half the executives that come to work every morning in our community, our population grows, our property values increase, and those stores locate right here.

So next time you hear “why should I care,” or “I don’t have kids in Sidney Schools,” or “I would never support … ”for whatever the reason … Please stop and educate. We all have a stake and should be doing our part to pass this school levy come November. Its not just about Sidney schools its about Sidney pride.
