ODOT seeks comments on projects

SIDNEY – The Ohio Department of Transportation District 7 is seeking public comments regarding the following projects:

• MIA-SR 185-01.39, PID 103227 – ODOT proposes to reduce the hill on the north side of SR 185 at mile-marker 01.39 in Newberry Township, Miami County. The project is necessary to address an erosion concern and improve line-of-sight.

• MOT-IR 70-03.34, PID 99623 – ODOT proposes to rehabilitate the existing bridge carrying Arlington Road over Interstate 70 in the City of Brookville. The project is necessary to address the deterioration of the bridge deck and substandard under bridge clearance. The project also provides the opportunity to provide a sidewalk and center left turn lane for improved safety and to support anticipated future development at the nearby industrial land on Campus Blvd.

Comments may be submitted by contacting the individual below. Issues the public may wish to comment on include, but are not limited to, the effect of the project on local residents, air quality, the local economy, and historic or cultural resources. Comments should be submitted by Friday, Jan. 27, 2017.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal environmental laws for the above projects are being, or have been, carried-out by ODOT pursuant to 23 U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated12/11/2015, and executed by FHWA and ODOT.
