Sheriff’s log

THURSDAY

-12:50 p.m.: neighbor trouble. Deputies were dispatched to 3258 Sidney Freyburg Road in Salem Township on the report of an on-going issue with neighbors dumping trash on the property.

-12:10 p.m.: investigative complaint. Deputies were dispatched to Camp Qtokee on state Route 29 in Franklin Township on the report of a damaged trailer.

-10:22 a.m.: theft. Deputies were dispatched to 211 Main St. in Salem Township on the report of the theft of a TV.

-3:06 a.m.: suspicious car. Deputies were dispatched to Shelby Memory Gardens on state Route 47 Turtle Creek on the report of suspicious car.

WEDNESDAY

-7:51 p.m.: trespassing. Deputies were dispatched to 5170 Short Road in Cynthian Township on the report of trespassing.

-6:41 p.m.: investigative complaint. Deputies were dispatched to 6822 State Route 274 in Van Buren Township on the report the advertisement lighting is pointed toward the road and is blinding drivers.

WEDNESDAY

-8:21 a.m.: lines down. Fort Loramie Police were dispatched to the 11000 block of state Route 362 in McLean Township on the report of a line down across the road.

Crashes

• No one was cited for a crash on Wednesday at 7:15 a.m.

Pamela Miller, 50, 2955 River Road, was traveling westbound on Russia Versailles Road when she lost control of the vehicle and went off the left side of the road and struck the mail box of 2929 Russia Versailles Road.

• No one was cited for a crash on Wednesday at 7:03 a.m.

Jonathan Miles, 25, 204 N. Koke St., DeGraff, was traveling westbound on County Road 70 approaching the stop sign at Logan Shelby Road when he slid on the icy road as he braked to avoid a collision with another vehicle which he said came into his lane of travel. Miles said he was able to avoid the collision with the other vehicle, but slid through the intersection and stuck a ditch before coming to a rest in a field.

• No one was cited for a crash on Wednesday at 4:20 a.m.

Nathanial Hughes, 32, 204 Broad St., Port Jefferson, was traveling westbound on Mason Road when he lost control as he entered the S-curve, went left of center, over-corrected and then went off the right side of the road and struck a tree.

Hughes left the scene and went to a Sidney residence to report the accident.

• No one was cited for a crash on Wednesday at 2:45 a.m.

Rachel Morris, 19, 9505 Riverview Place, was traveling eastbound in the 9000 block of Wells Road when she swerved to avoid a deer, lost control due to the slick road, went off the right side of the roadway and struck a guardrail.

• No one was cited for a crash on Tuesday at 11:39 p.m.

Cynthia Ballweg, 52, 7983 Southland Road, New Knoxville, was traveling southeast in the 16000 block of state Route 29 when she struck a tree down on the roadway.

THURSDAY

-1:16 p.m.: medical. Houston Rescue responded to the 600 block of Cross Trail in Washington Township.

-6:23 a.m.: medical. Houston Rescue responded to the 9000 block of Houston Road in Washington Township.

-3:11 a.m.: medical. Houston Rescue responded to the 600 block of Cross Trail in Washington Township.

WEDNESDAY

-6:27 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue responded to the 13000 block of Fey Road in Dinsmore Township.

-6:26 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue and Jackson Center Police responded to the 200 block of West Pike Street in Jackson Township.

-6:26 p.m.: medical. Anna Rescue and Van Buren Township responded to the 13000 block of White Feather Trail in Van Buren Township.
