Minster’s first loss of the season knocked them out of the top spot in D-4 in this week’s girls state rankings.
The Lady Wildcats were defeated by Ottoville, and fell from first to fourth this week. The Russia girls dropped from No. 7 to No. 1o this week, also in D-4, and Jackson Center moved up from 15th to 12th after its win over Russia.
The Versailles girls stayed right where they were last week, in third spot in D-3.
• The Versailles boys basketball team jumped up two spots in this week’s Division 3 Associated Press state boys basketball rankings, but the Fort Loramie Redskins fell one spot in D-4.
The Versailles boys were ranked sixth last week but are up two spots this week after running their record on the year to 14-1. Their only loss this season has been to Dayton Dunbar, the No. 4-ranked team in D-2 this week.
Meanwhile, in D-4, Fort Loramie fell from fifth last week to sixth this week, despite a three-game winning streak.
