TROY — Dungan & LeFevre Co., L.P.A. has announced that James D. Brookshire has been named a member of the board of directors of the firm.

Brookshire, who joined Dungan & LeFevre in 2003, is a 1991 graduate of the University of Dayton School of Law.

He graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a vachelor’s degree in geology in 1983. He was admitted to practice in Ohio in 1991. He is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.

His practice includes personal injury, medical negligence, wrongful death claims, ERISA, construction disputes and appeals.

Prior to joining Dungan & LeFevre, Brookshire worked in the area of insurance defense. Throughout his career as a trial attorney, he has represented hundreds of individuals and corporations and has extensive jury trial experience. He is a member of the Miami County, Dayton and Ohio State Bar Associations.

Prior to his law career, Brookshire worked in the field of exploration geophysics in the United States, Brazil, Argentina, Norway, Egypt, Tunisia and other parts of North Africa.

He resides in Dayton with his wife, Nancy.
