BOTKINS — Members of the Botkins Jr. High Band and Choir recently participated at the Ohio Music Educators Association Solo & Ensemble Adjudicated Events at Miami East Schools, where the following ratings were earned:

Superior: Ainsley Manger, mezzo solo; Paige Doseck, mezzo solo; Ivy Fogt, mezzo solo; Brian Del Real, tenor solo; Natalie Pitre, Averie Thorpe, Aubrie Harrod and Brian Del Real, clarinet quartet.

Excellent: Haley Barhorst, Lizzie Cooper, Brian Del Real, Ivy Fogt, Emma Steinke and Katie Watern, soprano-alto ensemble; Jacob Pleiman, Sydney Steinke and Madelyn Topp, woodwind trio; Xavier Monnin, Ethan Motter, RJ Poeppelman and Ellie Steinke, trumpet quartet; Aaron Anderson, tenor solo; Gavin Brown, Emma Ewry and Carter Frey, trombone trio; Kelsie Burmeister, Paige Doseck, Emma Ewry, Meg Russell and Averie Thorpe, soprano-alto ensemble; Katie Watern, mezzo solo.
