LHS Alumni Soccer Game July 29

The 12th annual Lehman Catholic Men’s Alumni Soccer Game will be held on Saturday, July 29 at 10 a.m. at Lehman.

The game has become a tradition, and was started after the Lehman varsity soccer team was established in the fall of 2004 to allow the alumni who started the club team at Lehman to compete against the current varsity team.

It has evolved into a yearly event that allows the alumni to return to their former glory, promote giving back to the program and bring together current and past players.

The game is designed to be a friendly exhibition without injuries. After the game lunch will be provided to all players and their families. BK Root Beer in Sidney will again provide their chili dogs, with the drinks and sides being provided by the current players and their families.

Those attending or participating can show their appreciation by donating to the Lehman Catholic Annual Fund or directly to the athletic program.

Players are reminded to bring water, white and navy blue shirts, shin guards, cleats and socks, and show up prior to 9:30 a.m. for group pictures, quick-touches and some light stretching.

Those planning to participate can contact any of three people, including Chris Ulrich at [email protected] or 937-726-5619, Scott Ulrich at [email protected] or 937-638-8194, or Matt Ulrich at [email protected] or 937-726-3917.
