SIDNEY — The Shelby County Retired Teachers Association is accepting applications for its annual Kent Smith Scholarship through April 27.

A $500 scholarship is available.

To be eligible, a student must be enrolled now in a college program in the field of education. Application forms are available in the offices of students’ former high school guidance counselors.

The program is sponsored by the retired teachers of all Shelby County school systems, Sidney City Schools, Christian Academy Schools and Holy Angels Catholic School and Lehman Catholic High School.
