Larson joins Wilson Health board

SIDNEY — Doreen Larson, of Sidney, has been appointed to serve an initial three-year term as Wilson Health’s newest trustee.

Larson is president of Edison State Community College in Piqua. Larson grew up on the east side of Cleveland. She holds a Doctorate in special education from Kent State University, a master’s degree in education from John Carroll University, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Cleveland State University with a bachelor’s degree in special education. In 2011, she was inducted into the Mayfield High School Hall of Fame in recognition of her lifelong commitment to increasing access to education for minorities and people with disabilities. She was elected to the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) Board of Directors in 2015.

The following hospital trustees were elected to serve as officers effective April 1: Rudy Keister, of Ruese Insurance Agency, chairman; Andy Counts, of US Bank, vice-chairman; John Deeds of Faulkner, Garmhausen, Keister & Shenk, treasurer; and Dr. Chuck Edelen, of Midwest Ohio Dental, secretary.

Other board members are Devon Beer, Freshway Foods; Janice Benanzer, Baumfolder Corp.; Mark Dooley, Wilson Health; Dr. Robert McDevitt, Wilson Health Medical Group; Tom Milligan, Western Ohio Cut Stone; Dr. Eric Prenger, Wilson Health Medical Group; Tom Sheehan, Emerson Climate Technologies; Jason Stiver, Ferguson Construction Co.; Tonya Thieman, attorney; and Bob Wheeler, Airstream.
