SIDNEY — Kirk NationaLease (KNL) realized a strong 2018 across virtually all product lines, with Contract Maintenance business becoming our fastest growing segment.
“KNL entered into several long-term agreements wherein we take over the maintenance responsibilities for our customer,” said President Mike Trabue. “Some of this business stretches across several of our shop locations, which is ideal for accounts that travel through some of the 23 cities, in 9 states, where we maintain physical shops fully staffed with technicians for our rental, truck and trailer leasing, and repair accounts.”

Kirk NationaLease is proud to have resumed doing business with Sidney City Schools, managing the maintenance and repair activity for the school bus fleet in addition to providing parking space for the buses.
Kirk NationaLease continued to streamline our shop locations by reducing a few where business has waned, and focusing on several new cities and opportunities that customers have asked us to open maintenance facilities in. Presently, we are working through the feasibility studies on several new locations, with large household-name accounts that maintain large distribution centers.
Our own John Wearly was inducted into the Lincoln College Technology Hall of Fame! We can’t be more proud for his achievement, and we thank him immensely for his 42 years … and counting, of fantastic contributions to Kirk NationaLease.
Our company website was revamped last year reflecting an updated image and an ease of navigating areas of interest. We plan on adding more content and videos in 2019.
Training our technicians is a critical factor with today’s ever-changing emissions improvements on new trucks. Our Operations Team is restructuring our current program to focus on a solid follow-up and multiple instructor approach with all technicians in order for them to maximize their individual talent and skills.
In August 2018, Kirk NationaLease welcomed our first apprentice technicians into a new program which allows an eager individual to work for a paycheck while we fully train them in diesel mechanics and truck/trailer repair and fabrication.
Kirk NationaLease, once again, earned the Platinum Service Award for providing the highest level of reciprocal service, to all NationaLease members requiring our service.
2019 brings Kirk NationaLease the celebration of our 50th anniversary in business. We will honor our valued employees by posting pictures of the staff and various shop locations while hosting open houses for our loyal customers.
