SIDNEY- “It’s not the job you do, it’s how you do the job.” And for business owner Betty Schulze who is on her 53rd year and still operating out of the same location you could say her vision is clear and she is still seeing 20/20.

Her report continues:

Schulze Accounting & Tax Service offers such services as taxes, payroll, accounting, and business options. Over the years Schulze Accounting & Tax Service has acquired 17 employees, but this particular year a third-generation family member joined my team. My grandson, Ben Montgomery, brings a bachelor’s in business to the company and is working to finish his CPA. He joins his mom, Marcia Montgomery, in working with me.

The business also upgraded its network which will offer their customers a faster service. With all the scamming happening around the globe, I have increased her security on all devices to safely secure the customers information by backing up information off site and adding the additional security measures to protect her customers.

Each year when tax season rolls around continuing education courses are expected of all employees working for the Schulze Accounting & Tax Service office. I am old school and want to make sure that anyone representing me is up to date on the new rules and regulations such as in 2020 the IRS addressed that each tax payer fill-out a new W-4 or W-4P. The standard deduction amounts increased: however, the additional amount for age or blindness remains the same in 2020. When filing married joint/Surviving Spouse (SS) in 2019 it was $24,400 whereas in 2020 the amount increased to $24,800. Head of household $18,350 in 2019, to $18,650 in 2020. Filing single as well as married filing single increased $200 in 2020 to $12,400. The IRS also issued standard mileage rates for 2020 beginning on Jan. 1. Miles driven for business is at 57.5 cents per mile, which is down one half of a cent from the rate for 2019, 17 cents per mile driven for medical or moving purposes, which is down three cents from the rate for 2019, and 14 cents per mile driven in service of charitable organizations. These are a few changes I feel were important information when preparing one’s taxes.

We look forward to servicing our customers in 2020 and we are accepting new clients. We are located at 422 Buckeye in Sidney, Ohio. You can call us at 937-498-5125.
