DAYTON – Women in Business Networking (WiBN), a program of Better Business Bureau serving Dayton/Miami Valley, and Aviatra Accelerators, which provides education, connections and resources for women entrepreneurs, have joined forces to invite local businesswomen to join the 2023 cohort for the Mastermind Hot Seat series. Each quarter, the cohort will come together for 90 minutes to expand their networks and improve their businesses.

The first half hour of each event is for networking, coffee and a light breakfast. For the next hour, attendees will split up into groups of 10. In each group, three previously selected members will have a turn on the “hot seat.” They will present a challenge or question they currently have in their business (for example: adding a new product or service, a personnel issue, considering a specific marketing strategy, etc.). The rest of the group will weigh in with their questions, opinions and suggestions. It’s a fun, fast-paced way to both get and give business advice and support, strengthening all of the attendees’ businesses.

Register today to reserve a seat for the cohort dates (registration covers all four events):May 12, Aug. 11, Oct. 20, 2023 and Jan. 12, 2024 from 8-9:30 a.m. at Arcade Hub, 31 S. Main St., Dayton. The cost is $129 for WiBN members, BBB Accredited Businesses/Charities & Aviatra Accelerators members, and $148 for others. A light breakfast is included. Register at 937-610-2270. Space is limited.

This is a one year commitment to connect with cohort members each quarter. Each attendee will have a turn in the hot seat at an event and be able to offer feedback for fellow cohort members at the other three events.

Sheri Sword, WiBN’s executive director, says, “We are excited about this partnership with Aviatra Accelerators. This event series mirrors our theme this year as it will help all attendees ‘Grow Stretch Thrive.’ It’s all about women helping women be successful in today’s marketplace.”

Jill Morenz, president and CEO of Aviatra Accelerators, is excited to bring the hot seat events to Dayton and the members of the Women in Business Networking. “It’s a unique opportunity to consult with peers about new services, challenges and more. At the same time, attendees will grow deeper relationships with likeminded ladies.”
