Crashes

Leon Hartley, 69, of Sidney, was cited with failure to control/weaving after a two-vehicle crash on April 10 at 1:16 p.m.

Hartley was traveling southbound on Dayton Avenue and attempted to park on the right side of the road, striking the front bumper of a vehicle owned by Chevy Willis, of Springfield.

• Julie Ann Valentine, 34, of Sidney, was cited with assured clear distance after a two-vehicle crash on April 9 at 10:05 p.m.

Dominique Raymon Miller, 40, of Sidney, was traveling northbound on Broadway Avenue and Valentine was behind him. Miller stopped at the intersection of Arrowhead Drive and Valentine failed to yield, rear-ending him.

• Dalton D. Carey, 17, of Sidney, was cited with operation without reasonable control after a one-vehicle crash on April 5 at 9:17 p.m.

Carey was traveling southbound on Oak Avenue when he lost control and drove off the right side of the roadway, striking a fence. He continued southbound in the grass, striking a railing and bushes, then fled the scene.

• Kimberly A. Vanhorn, 48, of Sidney, was cited with operation without reasonable control after a one-vehicle crash on April 5 at 12:25 p.m.

Vanhorn was traveling southbound on St. Marys Avenue approaching the intersection of West Russell Road. She was unable to stop as she approached the red light and veered off the roadway to the left, driving through the grass and striking a light pole next to the Dollar General parking lot.

Vanhorn was taken by Sidney EMS to Wilson Health with possible injuries and her vehicle was towed by Elmer’s Towing.
