Grand jury hands up indictments

SIDNEY — The Shelby County grand jury issued indictments for grand theft, retaliation, and drugs, among other charges, on Thursday, March 23.

Lisa M. Moore, 42, at large, was indicted on one count of grand theft of a motor vehicle, a fourth degree felony, for stealing a 1997 Chevrolet S-10 truck.

William J. Freytag, 70, at large, was indicted on one count of retaliation, a third degree felony, for threatening a magistrate of the Shelby County Domestic Relations Court after a ruling in Freytag’s divorce action.

James W. Bridget, 30, currently in the Shelby County Jail, was indicted on one charge of failure to comply with the order or signal of officer, a third degree felony, for fleeing from a law enforcement officer’s signal to stop his vehicle, causing a substantial risk of serious physical harm by traveling at speeds of approximately 100 mph, weaving through traffic, swerving off an exit ramp, and spinning out of control on the interstate.

Tammy Napier, 45, currently in the Shelby County Jail, was indicted for three counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, a second degree felony, for selling or offering to sell methamphetamine in the vicinity of a school.

Danial J. Bancroft, 56, currently in the Shelby County Jail, was indicted on one count of breaking and entering, a fifth degree felony, for trespassing with the purpose to commit a theft.

Tammy R. Liles, 45, at large, was indicted on one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a third degree felony, and one count of possessing criminal tools, a fifth degree felony, for methamphetamine, pipes and baggies used for storing, transporting and abusing methamphetamine.

Joshua A. Causey, 41, at large, was indicted on one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a third degree felony, and one count of possessing criminal tools, a fifth degree felony, for methamphetamine, pipes and baggies used for storing, transporting and abusing methamphetamine.

Alexandria M. Bashore, 28, of Piqua, was indicted on one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony, and one count of possessing criminal tools, a fifth degree felony, for methamphetamine and syringes, baggies and Fentanyl test strips used for storing, transporting, and abusing drugs.

Joseph K. Burks, 33, of Minster, was indicted on one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony, and one count of possessing criminal tools, a fifth degree felony, for methamphetamine and a glass pipe and plastic tube used for storing, transporting and abusing methamphetamine.

Kayla J. Schenck, 31, of Brookville, was indicted on one count of possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony, one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony, and one count of possessing criminal tools, a fifth degree felony, for Fentanyl, methamphetamine, and pipes, pill bottles and capsules used for storing, transporting and abusing drugs.

Brian C. Mader, 39, of Bradford, was indicted on one count of receiving stolen property, a fifth degree felony, for receiving and retaining a credit card which he knew or had reason to believe had been stolen.

Heather N. Matthieu, 30, of Piqua, was indicted on one count of receiving stolen property, a fifth degree felony, for receiving and retaining a credit card which she knew or had reason to believe had been stolen.

Trent E. Wolford, 43, at large, was indicted on one count of failure to appear, a fourth degree felony, for failure to report to a probation violation revocation hearing.

Brandon P. Whitt, 36, at large, was indicted on one count of failure to appear, a fourth degree felony, for failure to report to a final pretrial conference.

Tyler J. Reynolds, 22, of Toledo, was indicted on one count of trafficking in drugs, a fourth degree felony, and one count of possessing criminal tools, a fifth degree felony, for marijuana and baggies for the purpose of storing, transporting and/or distributing marijuana.

Joshua A. Elliston, 47, currently in the Shelby County Jail, was indicted on one charge of violating a protection order, a fifth degree felony, for engaging and/or making phone calls to a protected party.
