ST. MARYS — The Auglaize County Historical Society announces the return of Trivia Night, to be held on Friday, April 28, 2023, 7:30 p.m., at the St. Marys Eagles, 404 E. Spring St., St. Marys. This annual event took a hiatus for several years, but has now returned, with the goal of crowning “The Smartest People in Auglaize County.”

The Historical Society is hosting its 9th Trivia Night, inviting local residents to assemble a team of up to six persons — from their workplace, church, organization, family, or friends-to join the fun. Team members may collaborate on the answers and speed does not determine the winner. Prizes worth more than $1,500 will be awarded, as well as many door prizes for all in attendance. Food and drink will be available for purchase at the Eagles, and audience members are welcome as well.

The team entry fee for Trivia Night is $100, and all proceeds support the work of the Auglaize County Historical Society. The deadline to enter is April 14. Entry forms are available by emailing [email protected], or by accessing the Historical Society’s Facebook page or website (auglaizecountyhistory.org). Specific rules for trivia game play will be sent to all participants before April 28.

Founded in 1963, the Auglaize County Historical Society collects, preserves, interprets, and shares the history of Auglaize County, enriching lives by connecting people and communities to the past and to each other.

The Historical Society’s current trustees include: Sandy Hunter, Mark Kinstle, Molly Maxson-Klemenic, Julie McCullough, Jeremy Monroe, Sharon Schnell, Jerry Siesel, and Scott Snethkamp.
