SCGS presents Who Made a Difference, April meeting program

SIDNEY — The Shelby County Genealogical Society will hold their monthly meeting on Tuesday, April 11, featuring the program Who Made a Difference with presenter David Vollette.

The program will give members an idea of individuals who helped make a difference in Miami County, specifically Piqua, in the 19th century.

Vollette who authored of “Piqua Footprints: Those Who Made a Difference in Piqua from 1800-1900,” is the program presenter and will share information on the more than 100 individuals include in his book that he believes made Piqua a great city.

Many Shelby County families have roots in Miami County and the society invites them to come hear about the stories that may include an ancestor of theirs.

The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the Ross Historical Center, 201 N. Main Ave. in Sidney.
